“Wanted” - Anticipated Movie
Excuse my language, but holy shit does this look good!
I can’t decide yet whether that’s because of the jaw-dropping action sequences, the edgy persona of Angelina Jolie’s character, or simply because of Morgan Freeman’s narration. In any case, the trailer has won me over and won the film a spot on my anticipated movies list.
“Wanted” is the first major US film from a writer/director from Kazakhstan named Timur Bekmambetov (although Michael Brandt and Derek Haas were in charge of the screenplay for this film). The movie tells the story of Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy - who seems to be becoming quite the star lately), a bored and average youth who is one day spirited away by a super-hot and super-deadly assassin named Fox (Jolie) to join the Fraternity - a brotherhood of supernaturally gifted killers that once included Gibson’s own father. The tagline of the film is “Choose Your Destiny,” so I guess it’s safe to assume there will be a little message behind the action.
