“Into the Nightlife” vs. “Give it 2 Me”
Battle of the 80s stars! Madonna’s second single, “Give it 2 Me,” is already starting to hit radio stations across the country. Cyndi Lauper is about to release her first new album in . . . a long time. Her first single will be “Into the Nightlife.” Both tracks have that retro 80s dance flair. Both have heavy synth and heavy vocal adjustments. Both are kind of bland and unexciting.
Which comes out on top? I’m going to bet on Madonna, although “Give it 2 Me” is far from my favorite track on her new album. The “get stupid” dance break makes the track worth listening to . . . barely.
However, for the purposes of this battle, I must give the award to “Into the Nightlife.” While it’s hardly the best song I’ve heard this year (or this month . . . or this week . . . or today), at least the chorus is engaging, something I can’t say about “Give it 2 Me.” On the whole, this one is musically more interesting.
Don’t expect that to stop Madonna from having the higher peak, though. With people like Timbaland behind her, she shouldn’t worry. After all, an unengaging track has never stopped Timbaland before.

I think your opinion is spiteful and vindictive to say the least.I think its time you visit your shrink.To say that “give it to me” isnt a good track clearly displays your inferior taste in music coz all the clubs are playing it to frenzied crowds who are dancing their asses off to the track. So dude do us all a favour……….get yourself a medical checkup…..and soon.

I think Cyndi Lauper’s record is FAR superior than Madonna’s who is trying to sound like something she is not: an R&B singer…
Into The Nighlife is far catchier and more powerful than Give it to me..
